Code Red air quality alert in effect across all of Pennsylvania - a podcast by Radio.com

• Canadian wildfires are once again spreading air pollution throughout smoke into the mid-Atlantic United States. This time, the entire state of Pennsylvania is under a code red air quality alert. KYW’s Pat Loeb has more.


• After being shuttered for 18 months,  Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville is getting a new owner. Penn Medicine has entered an agreement to buy the 171-bed facility from Tower Health. KYW's John McDevitt McDevitt reports this great news for many Chester County residents.


• New Jersey officials have reached a settlement worth about $400-million with a West Deptford company over decades of pfas contamination. It’s the biggest settlement of its kind in state history, as we hear from KYW South Jersey reporter Mike Dougherty.


• There are flight cancelations and delays here and around the country, in part because of this week’s severe weather. Nationwide, there are nearly 16-hundred cancellations and more than 23-thousand delays. And at Philly International, there are more than 100 delayed flights and 21 cancellations so far. KYWs Tim Jimenez reports from the airport.
