  • Philadelphia City Council is embracing technology to enforce traffic and parking laws, and Council President Darrell Clarke wants to protect registered community organizations. KYW Newsradio City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb has this report from Thursday’s Council session.

  • The longtime head of Philadelphia's police union is stepping down. Philly's Fraternal Order of Police says president John McNesby will leave to take a new position with the state. His last day will be November 10.


  • A Shabbat table art installation was set up on Independence Mall. As KYW Newsradio’s Hadas Kuznits reports, the goal was to bring attention to the kidnapped civilians from Israel still being held captive in Gaza.



  • A new series of short educational videos aims to teach children about citizenship.  First Lady Dr. Jill Biden was in Philadelphia on National Civics Day, Friday, to launch the videos. We get the story from KYW Newsradio education reporter Mike DeNardo.
