The KYW Newsradio All-Local for Monday, Nov. 6, 2023 (Evening Edition):

  • Lane restrictions will be in effect Monday and Wednesday nights on I-95 at Cottman Avenue, as PennDOT shifts traffic to the new section of the overpass built after the fiery collapse in June.

  • Disruptors won’t be tolerated on Election Day, said District Attorney Larry Krasner, who on Monday outlined safeguards to ensure all votes will be protected. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., and anyone on line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot.

  • Monday was Day One of the federal embezzlement trial of former Philadelphia labor leader and power broker John Dougherty. Prosecutors and defense attorneys presented conflicting views of the case in opening statements.

  • Officials in Delaware County are phasing out the pen and pad poll books used at polling places. More than 1/3 of Delco precincts will use a digital method.

  • A ballot question in Moorestown, New Jersey, asks if voters want to change a zoning rule to allow for arcade-style businesses to open at the shopping mall. The mayor  says there doesn’t appear to be any groups strongly opposed to the changes.
