• City officials give more details about Monday night's shooting in Southwest Philadelphia, where five people were killed, including a 15-year-old boy, and several others were injured. The suspect is in custody. 


• It quite literally rained on their parade. A storm forced people who were already on the Ben Franklin Parkway for Fourth of July festivities to leave and then come back. 


• Philadelphia-based community organizations were able to reach more of the people most likely to be impacted by gun violence with the help of grants from the city budget. That's the conclusion of an evaluation done in 2022, during the first year of the program.
