Murder charges against former Philadelphia police officer who shot and killed Eddie Irizarry are reinstated - a podcast by Radio.com

• A Philadelphia judge has reinstated all murder charges against former police officer Mark Dial, who fatally shot Eddie Irizarry in August during a car stop. Dial’s attorneys say they plan to file for the case to be moved to another county.


• A West Virginia man has been found guilty in Montgomery County of two counts of third-degree murder for killing a pregnant woman and her unborn in a deadly crash last summer.


• New Jersey on Wednesday defended its package of gun restrictions, which includes a ban in sensitive spaces, in federal court. The judges are now considering the arguments.


• A program at the Camden County Jail to help people suffering from opioid addiction is being celebrated as a national model. A new report finds the plan is working. The medication for the program was unveiled in 2018, and it’s undergone several updates since then.
