  • Storms made a mess all over the region Monday night, toppling trees and flooding some roads.

  • A three-day operation in Kensington last week broke up a major drug operation. Police arrested 175 people and seized $1.4 million in drugs and two dozen weapons.

  • A new problem has emerged in Philadelphia’s struggling child welfare system. The city is preparing to transfer thousands of children to new providers because its largest Community Umbrella Agency (CUA), Turning Points for Children, can no longer afford its liability insurance.
