- Police are searching for a group, including a masked gunman, who shot and wounded a 19-year-old on a Center City SEPTA platform Monday night.
- A four-alarm brush fire along the Media bypass in Delaware County is now under control, after affecting drivers and threatening homes in Upper Providence Township.
- While the Philadelphia area is not officially in a drought, lack of rain is contributing to the risk of wildfires. National Weather Service meteorologist Matt Brudy says Philadelphia has seen less than 1/4 inch of rain this month.
- Three teenagers from Philadelphia are in custody, and two others are on the run, after they were caught fleeing a smash-and-grab burglary at a Bucks County gun store. Police recovered the 21 guns that were taken.
- Odunde, Inc. is a world-renowned, Philadelphia-based organization whose mission is to educate the public about African and African American culture. Their signature annual festival (June 5-11) draws an international crowd approaching half a million people, which -means big business for the city.
