The school says immediate action was taken and all students, faculty, and staff are safe and secure. The lockdown was lifted about two hours later. There's been no word from police on an arrest.


• Lawmakers in Trenton have advanced a bill that would increase penalties for people who assault law enforcement officers.


• With high temperatures, low humidity and strong winds, the National Weather Service is issuing a red flag warning in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The weather conditions increase the risk of the spread of wildfires.
