In this episode of The Living Artist, Preston talks about the importance of trusting your instincts. Intuition, the voice inside your head, your gut, your instincts, whatever you want to call it, developing the skill of listening to this is essential to making the right choices in your art career. Preston provides a few examples from his own life of when he was able to listen to his own gut, as well as fall victim to his one rationalizations. Objectivity, taking time to think, playing the long game, quieting desperation, and learning from past experiences are all ways that we can get better at honing this skill. Hope it resonates with you!
