In this episode, my friend, Kelly Balarie, shares from her book, Battle Ready: Train Your Mind to Conquer Challenges, Defeat Doubt, and Live Victoriously. Our minds are a battlefield and too often life can feel like a rollercoaster full of ups and downs. After all, Jesus Himself reminds us to expect trouble in this world, but He also promises to bring victory (John 16:33).Kelly gives so many practical tips for how to can change our mindset and no longer be thrown by life's difficulties, but rather begin to see them as opportunities to grow closer to Christ!

Our struggles oftentimes become our breakthroughs. Our victory is rarely instantaneous. God is all about the process and the joy of doing it with us.
When you are filled with Jesus, He makes the things of earth grow strangely dim. Nothing else compares. How to renew your mind: 1. Repent. 2. Reset your mind. 3. Resolve to replace lies with God's truth.
Repentance is not about God being disappointed in you, it is God doing a new thing in you.We have to identify the lies behind our emotions and thoughts.
When we feel hungry, rushed or tired everything can feel like a battle. Stop and breathe. Take care of your needs.Always remember to take a moment to invite God into the situation.
You are not alone and it is not all up to you!Have faith that what needs to get done will get done.
To address fear - admit it, invite a friend to pray with you and intentionally focus on how Jesus changes it all.Practical advice: Go through the alphabet, stating truths about who God is and what He has done for you.
Listen to the wisdom of others. If you are married, listen to the wisdom of your spouse.Think about what you are thinking about. Take every thought captive."Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformedby the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."Romans 12:2
