“We can spend our whole lives being busy - or being purposeful"
In this episode, Liz Bohannon, author of"Beginner's Pluck: Build Your Life of Purpose and Impact Now", shares how to live a life of integrity and courage to continually pursue the unique passions God places on our hearts.

Early on in her career, Liz felt convicted that her daily life and community did not line up with her passion to help women and girls living in extreme poverty and conflict zones. This conviction compelled her to buy a one-way ticket to Uganda and set her on the course to discovering what it means to live every day actively seeking God and relying on Him.There are a lot of good dreams and priorities out there, but not all of them are a part of God's plan for you. Rather than trying to do and be everything you see in others, God wants to free you to be you and to live with confidence in His ability to use your life to impact others every day.

(Liz's passion to educate and empower women across the globe led her and her husband to start a socially conscious fashion brand, Sseko Designs. Be sure to check out their beautiful shop in the links below!)

True passion drives you beyond intellectual beliefs and strong opinions to actionIt is just as important to keep the promises we make to ourselves
Bold promises push us to go furtherGod doesn't ask us to take on anyone else's values, priorities or expectations"All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one"Matthew 5:37
Get alone with God and ask Him what is most important for your life, then act on itWe cannot cheer others on well unless we are rooted and secure in our own God-given priorities
Finding your passion has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with pluckPluck is spirited and determined courage
We don't find our passion and purpose; we build it one step at a time
Building a life of purpose, passion and impact comes from seeking God and taking steps as He leadsYou don't have to be extraordinary to build a life of extraordinary impact
Growth Mentality: When you recognize and accept that you are average and continue pressing forwardWhen we accept being average, it makes more room for God to be BIG
If you are paralyzed by a big vision, narrow it down to as small of a goal as you canThe"work"we are called to do is simply understanding that we are already loved, forgiven, acceptable and good enough
Jesus went before us so we don't need performance or perfection

There’s nothing I can do to make God love me less or more.
