Every year during Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's holiday weekend, there is a certain amount of posting on social media regarding Dr. King that attempts to use his legacy to somehow shame civil rights advocates into silence. There are numerous attempts to use his words against the very people for whom he fought. His image is distorted, his legacy is customized to suit certain purposes. And often his name is invoked in order to criticize those who demand justice. It is important to understand who Martin Luther King was and what he stood for. Tonight we will get into some of MLK's lesser-known writings.
