A wave of violence against trans and gay people has swelled in the first week of 2017. Trans women, Jamie Lee Wounded Arrow of S. Dakota and Mesha Caldwell of Mississippi were also murdered.

Disturbing developments in the Freddie Gray case as a federal judge allows the officers to sue the failed prosecutor. Also news about Michael Brown's parents' lawsuit.

Kentucky Democrat Rick Nelson introduces two anti-LGBTQ laws. And Massachusetts sheriff offers inmates as slave labor to build Trump's wall.

The US House of Representatives recently made it easier for the government to sell or give away national parks, national forests, and other public lands.

Colin Kaepernick of the San Francsico 49ers donated $50,000 toward building a medical health clinic at Standing Rock. The donation will help to pay the salaries of the medical personnel. The free clinic serves the Water Protectors defending against the Dakota Access Pipeline.
