What is magic?

As defined in the dictionary, magic is "the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces." Another definition, "the use of spells, charms, and rituals in seeking to cause or control events or to govern certain natural or supernatural forces."

So how, and why, does magic work?

Many magical practitioners around the world believe that the casting of spells harnesses unseen forces to fulfill wishes. From love, success, and spiritual growth to revenge, practitioners use symbolism, special materials, and incantations as well as the positioning of heavenly bodies, deep concentration to turn will into reality.
