She is an Afro-Latina born in Miami, Florida to Dominican immigrant parents who raised her in Massachusetts with a B.S. Psychology and a M.Ed in Urban Education. Her experiences are cross-cultural and have left an impact on her social pursuits. Her prior work and personal experience consists of years in social work, providing outreach and advocacy. She is able to apply ethics and values wherever culture, humanities, and the arts are discussed.
