In the second episode, we are talking about an instant classic by Marvin Gaye, the album What's Going On.

This is a podcast about music, but this album especially, is fueled by very important topics in society. It addresses problems of deeply rooted and systematic racism and police brutality against Black people and protesters for peace and against injustice.

It saddens us that this album, which was released 49 years ago, is still so relevant today. 

What's going on shows us that art is one of th most important mediums to help us process dark topics and injustice.

In times like these, music like this is even more important than ever.

This podcast is by two men who have the privilege to not be afraid of being a target of brutality and systematic injustice because of the colour of our skin. 

White people often stay quiet about racism because they feel that it is not their place to speak or believe that they themselves are not racist, and that is enough. It is not enough.

Just as sexism is not a “women's issue”, racism is not only a “black issues”. Now is not the time for silence. We all have a responsibility to raise our voices against injustice.
