This is the MugPunters.com.au podcast for Thursday 19th October 2017 and in our breaking news headlines this week. Grab yourselves a beer gents, these might take a while:

- Paul “The Fatman” Vautin has been given the ass by Channel Nine without even being given the common courtesy of a goodbye episode after 23 bloody years. Sources suggest The Fat was booted whilst on an end of season holiday and despite the fact I haven’t bothered watching the same homophobic jokes, head wobbles and sexual innuendos for about 8 years myself, that doesn’t mean you can treat the longest running prime time tv host ever in Australia like this - wait… was that a 60 second soapbox?

- And Angela Postecoglou… no wait… sorry Ange Postecoglou is set to sensationally quit the Socceroos coaching job even if they do manage to qualify for the World Cup next year. Just like Craig David and to a lesser extent Lisa Wilkinson, Angela, sorry Ange is set to be Walkin Away and word on the street gents is that it has to do with the fact he’s sick of wankers calling him Angela and that the Aussie national side is still called the Socceroos and not the Footballroos

- And David Warner has come out ahead of the Ashes series asking umpires to let the banter and sledging flow like State of Origin football. I’m with you Dave. Get rid of this nanny state of dribble where a crap stare down from a medium paced English noofa is the hardest thing in cricket. Let’s go back to the days where Warney would tell batsmen he’d been waiting for a long time to bowl at them only to hear a reply of “well, it looks like you’ve been waiting at the buffet” or when Rod Marsh asked Ian Botham “how’s your wife and my kids” only to have Botham retort “wife is fine. Kids are retarded”. Or when Englishman James Ormand arrived at the crease and Mark Waugh asked “What are you doing out here? There’s no way you’re good enough to play for England”, only to have Ormand suggest “Maybe not, but at least I’m the best player in my own family”

PLUS some top bets in the NFL, a look at what Winx is up to (including a celebrity matchup against Black Caviar), a little UFC and a BIG group 1 racing tip for the weekend!
