This is the MugPunters.com.au podcast for Thursday 23rd November 2017 and in our breaking news headlines this week:

- The Socceroos might be headed to the world cup, but Ange Got-a-clogged-loo… sorry... Elmaloglou… sorry Pot-of-clag-glue… sorry… let me start again. The socceroos might be headed to the world cup, but coach Ange P isn’t heading to Russia, but instead announced he’s headed to Centrelink. Seriously Ange… that’s like going to the club and doing all the hard work, copping crap from mingas on the dance floor, buying drinks for ladies that are taking you for a ride and then finally at the end of the night, the hottest woman in the place and her equally attractive friend drape themselves all over you and you say… “no thanks. I’ll sit this one out. But have fun”. I’m lost

- Equally as stunning is that New Zealand is out of the Rugby League world cup, defeated by a resilient Fiji 4-2 in the quarter final. When Mug Punters hit the streets of Auckland to get the locals response to the loss, almost all people we spoke to were still in shock and amazed… not about the loss… but about the fact anyone actually played this so called Rugby League game that wasn’t Rugby Union or Netball

- And Wallabies coach Michael Cheika is in hot water after Australia's defeat to England at Twickenham. Cheika appeared to have said 'f***ing cheats' when the cameras showed the Aussie coach in the box after skipper Michael Hooper's try was disallowed for offside by the TMO during the first half of the 30-6 loss to the cheating Poms. Cheika claims the story is totally out of context and was in no way related to the English Rugby side. He was just referring to ball tampering allegations against the English cricket side during their series against Pakistan last year.
