A pioneer in the tongue tie or tethered oral tissues (TOTS) field, Dr Larry Kotlow. He has been doing releases since the 70’s! In a time where hardly anyone would do a release, people would trek from all the other states or from other countries to have him release their baby’s ties. Author of the book “SOS 4 TOTS”.
Dr Kotlow is going to walk us through how the tongue is a complex muscle with most of the cranial nerves innervating it but it is also an unofficial organ because it powers all of the other body systems. Very much like how the heart is a muscle but is the most important organ in our body. He will walk us through how tongue function affects digestion, breathing, neurologic, endocrine, sleeping, and growth.
We will focus on baby symptoms today and he will explain in great detail how the tongue is literally the architect of the mouth and face during the baby years. This gives greater insight to how a tie with restrictive function affects the babies and toddlers.
