They serve as an advocate for all Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) and students; working for a healthier, diverse climate.  Their mission is to shift the mindset about who can work in the dental hygiene field; remove cultural and economic barriers to joining the dental hygiene workforce; establish and promote pathways to dental careers.

In the interview Martelle shares her amazing story of becoming a dental hygienist; her reasons for creating the group; the new community service, fundraising and conference events for the upcoming year; how people can donate and  join via memberships; and her best advice for people interested in pursuing dental hygiene as a career.
