In the same division, Squires Gate turned to an experienced sub on Easter Monday... 41 years since his debut for the club. Secretary John Maguire had previously registered as a player to cover injury issues but due to availability issues found himself on the bench then an injury saw him come onto the field just days short of his 60th birthday.

The Northern Premier League will be responsible for the 8th division at Step 4 when it launches for season 2020/21\. Chairman Mark Harris is excited at the prospect especially after the hard work put into the bid and expects it will help improved standards across football.

Matt Badcock helps with the Non League Paper round up including the likelihood of Leyton Orient winning the National League title and Stockport County securing the National North title but as we all know football is a funny old game....
