Jeff Hakman is a surfing legend and has an incredible life story. He is probably the person who has had the biggest influence in surfing the way we know it today.

Born and raised in California, his family moved to Hawaii in the mid 50’s. Jeff, encouraged by his surfer dad rapidly became a top surfer of his generation. By the early age of 17 he was the youngest person to win the Duke Kahanamoku event. From then on he was propelled into the pro surfing business and winning titles all around the world.

My conversation with Jeff addresses these early years and further on. He shares the unbelievable (and possibly untold) story of how he acquired the Quiksilver licence and how he took the license back home to make it the worlds biggest surfing brand. We also talk about Jeff's latest project : to surf till 100 years of age.
