It’s Matchday 11 of the German top-flight 2020/21. Will this weekend’s results prove significant in deciding who will win the Bundesliga? Only time will tell, so let’s get into it.

Friday night’s Bundesliga action starts with unbeaten Wolfsburg at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. Both sides have drawn plenty of games so far this season. Wolfsburg – currently 5th in the standings – have drawn six of their league games, whilst Eintracht have drawn a division-high seven of their Bundesliga games. I wonder what Radek will be tipping in that one?

Into Saturday, and we’ve got six games to enjoy. Borussia Dortmund have won just one of their previous four league games; that’s not the form of a proper title challenger. As a result, The Black & Yellow have dropped to fourth in the standings. This weekend they take on newly-promoted Stuttgart – it won’t be an easy game.   Elsewhere, Freiburg host relegation threatened Arminia Bielefeld and RB will continue their title charge when they welcome Werder Bremen to the Red Bull Arena. Julian Nagelsmann’s side enter the game on the back of a successful Champions League group stage campaign.

At the bottom of the table, Cologne (15th) go to Mainz (17th) with both teams sharing just two wins between them both. That won’t be one for the purists, but it could be hugely important come the end of the season.  Gladbach will welcome Hertha to BORUSSIA-PARK following their battle with Real Madrid in Europe. How will that unfold we wonder?

Finally on Saturday evening, the defending champions are in action, as they travel to capital minnows Union Berlin in the late kick-off.  Into Sunday’s final two games, and Schalke will be hoping and praying they can avoid making it almost a full year without a league win when they travel to play Augsburg. Then later that afternoon all the games are wrapped up as in-form Leverkusen play Hoffenheim at the BayArena.
