Odds On: Bundesliga Predictions - Matchday 18 - Football Match Tips, Bets & Odds - a podcast by Oddspedia

This is an audio version of our YouTube video. It’s mid-January and Bayern aren’t running away with it (yet). It’s another key week of fascinating fixtures in the Bundesliga, so let’s get into this one.   We start on Friday night with the Borussen derby between Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund. This isn’t one of the fiercest derbies across Germany, but it still holds weight between these two clubs. The bookies have away side Dortmund as favourites for this one, but our German football & betting expert Radek Vegas is backing the draw.  Into Saturday, it’s Arminia Bielefeld against Frankfurt. The away side are the clear favourites in this one at 1.82 but they’re both in decent form, with Bielefeld securing 3 wins and a draw from their last 5. Good news for Eintracht fans; their 2019 top goal scorer Luka Jovic is back!  Next, it’s Augsburg against Union Berlin. Union have just 1 defeat in 7, and that was last time out against RB Leipzig, so no shame there! Augsburg, on the other hand, have 4 defeats in their last 5 and have conceded just twice in five games. Despite this, our expert reckons this will be a close one.   Saturday also sees a great game between two high-flyers, Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg. Bayer have 3 defeats in 5 but they beat Dortmund last time out. The visitors have been in the Euro spot all season but only have 2 wins from 11 away from home in all competitions. One to look out for.  The bookmakers can’t split Freiburg’s clash with Stuttgart. Positioned 9th and 10th in the Bundesliga, there’s very little between these two sides. Go for the draw with odds of 3.86! Later, it’s another must-win game for RB Leizpig when they travel to face woeful Mainz. The odds aren’t too nice for Julian Nagelsmann’s side in this one and we’ve struggled to find any value bets!   Hertha Berlin need points if their league position is ever going to match their owner’s ambition and financial input into the club. With just 1 win in 7 and down in 14th place, it isn’t looking too rosy in the capital right now. Their opponents Werder sit one place above in the standings (sit and stand, hmm?). Radek doesn’t like this game. Are you confident? Let us know!  The penultimate game sees Schalke against league leaders against Bayern Munich. Anything other than an away victory is going to be a massive shock in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday afternoon. Then, we finish Matchday 18 with Hoffenheim at home to Cologne. The hosts are 11th but thankfully (for them) have star striker Andrej Kramaric back in the team to fire them up the table. Colgne, meanwhile, have some decent away form, winning 3 and drawing 1 of their previous 5.   Tom Beck is in the Bundesliga hot seat this week in Eduardo Siles’ absence.
