The Bundesliga returns for Week 5 action following a busy midweek for many German sides across European competition. The Champions League holders, Bayern Munich, breezed past La Liga’s Atletico Madrid with a 4-0 victory at the Allianz on Wednesday night.  Meanwhile, elsewhere, Gladbach performed brilliantly to earn a point against Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan. Finally, RB Leipzig continued their impressive start to the season with a comfortable 2-0 win to go top of Group C, a group that also includes Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.  And it’s Leipzig where we start today, where else than the Bundesliga leaders. Julian Nagelsmann’s side have 10 points from four games and face Hertha at home this weekend. Hertha, themselves, are as inconsistent as they come – winning 4-1 in their season opener before losing the following three league games.   

Bayern are also featuring in Saturday’s line-up. The Bavarians host Eintracht Frankfurt, one of only two teams not to have suffered defeat so far this season in Germany’s top-flight, and currently sit fourth in the table. Elsewhere, Borussia Monchengladbach travel to Mainz, a team rooted to the bottom of the division after an abysmal start to the year (four straight defeats).  

But the biggest game of the weekend will be taking place in the Ruhr region, with Dortmund taking on Schalke in another fiery Revierderby. BVB are huge favourites this time around, largely due to Schalke’s appalling form. S04 have won just ONE game since January, and their last away win came against Werder Bremen in November 2019.  We’ve got the best odds, up to date news, betting info and predictions.
