We start on Tuesday in Budapest, of all places, with RB Leipzig and Liverpool’s tie being rearranged to be played in Hungary. This is the first time these two sides have ever met and it’s come at a very interesting time in their respective seasons. For Bundesliga outfit Leipzig, they’ve won four games in a row, conceding just a solitary goal in these games.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, on the other hand, are having a truly horrible time at the moment. Three matches, three defeats. They’ve lost to Brighton, Man City and Leicester and their season is in turmoil. Europe may be their only chance for silverware this season, with their German boss all-but conceding their title defence isn’t going to happen.

The other game on Tuesday night is a massive clash between two huges sides desperate for success into this competition. Barcelona are at home to French champions and last season’s runners-up Paris Saint-Germain. Now led by Mauricio Pochettino, the Argentine manager will be without Neymar due to injury.

The last time these two heavyweights came face to face was the infamous 6-1 comeback win for the Spaniards. In recent matches, they’ve both looked in strong form, with Barcelona winning five of their last seven and PSG winning four of their last five games. The Parisiens had to negotiate a tough group that included Manchester United and RB Leipzig but they won’t be particularly satisfied to be drawn against their former foes.

Into Wednesday, and Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to his motherland to go up against he hates - but loves to play against – Porto. The Portuguese icon, an ex-Sporting Lisbon player, typically performs best when it turns personal, so we could be in for another masterclass from CR7. Fingers crossed.

Andrea Pirlo’s project at Juve could hinge on their success in Europe, with his misfiring side now down in 4th following their 1-0 defeat to Napoli at the weekend. Porto, on the other hand, are 2nd in the Portuguese league having drawn four games in succession. They’re tight at the back, though, having not conceded a goal in almost 500 minutes of Champions League football.

The final tie this week sees La Liga’s Sevilla host Borussia Dortmund of the Bundesliga. The visitors aren’t great, to be honest. They’re down in 6th and drew at the weekend against Hoffenheim with Erling Haaland involving himself in yet another unnecessary on-field scrap. Sevilla, on the other hand, are in electrifying form, having won nine games straight in all competitions! They also haven’t conceded in their last seven games. Brilliant.

Our resident host Eduardo Siles is joined by his two favourite allies, Alvaro Romeo and Daniele Fisichella. Each experts in football and betting, they’re here each and every week to preview, discuss, analyse and dissect every fixture of this season’s Champions League. They’re also on hand to provide betting tips, odds, picks and predictions.
