Odds On: La Liga - Matchday 23 - Football Match Tips, Bets, Odds & Predictions - a podcast by Oddspedia

This is an audio version of our YouTube show. The action, as always, starts on Friday night. This time we begin with Celta Vigo at home to relegation favourites Elche. The hosts can plunge Elche further into the drop zone with a win here, but the Galician side haven’t won in a number of weeks, with two defeats and three consecutive draws in their last 5.  Saturday starts with the leaders Atletico Madrid heading south to play Granada. Diego Simeone’s side had their lead cut to 8 points at the weekend, but hey, 8 points is still loads over in Spain. Then it’s Sevilla at home to bottom side Huesca. Sevilla are huge favourites for this one having won four on the bounce – they’re now just a point off 2nd.   Eibar against Real Valladolid is Saturday’s penultimate game, before the action is concluded with Barcelona against Alaves. Ronald Koeman’s side are expected to make light work of their Basque opponents at Camp Nou, especially if they’re going to close down the Rojiblancos in top spot. Hey much they’ll be kicking themselves for letting Luis Suarez leave.  Sunday starts with Real Sociedad heading to the capital to play Getafe. The side from San Sebastian won just their second league game out of a possible 12 last time out against Cadiz – they remain 6th in the standings thanks to their fantastic season start.  This one is followed up by Real Madrid at ‘home’ to Valencia. Zinedine Zidane’s Los Blancos bounced back from their defeat to Levante by squeezing past Huesca. They’re not exactly lighting up La Liga right now.  The other two games on Sunday see Valencia-based Levante welcome Pamplona’s Osasuna, before Real Betis look to bounce back against Villarreal. Manuel Pellegrini’s side were only narrowly squeezed out in the final moments against Barcelona but they won’t have everything their own way when they play Unai Emery’s side who sit 5th in the league.   The final match of Matchday 23 is played on Monday as Cadiz welcome Athletic Bilbao. The Yellow Submarine are plummeting further and further down the table and are now very thankful for their strong start to the campaign.   Eduardo Siles is very well supported by the one-and-only Alvaro Romeo, a diligent and brilliant Spanish football expert.
