The new Premier League season kick-starts on Friday evening as new boys Brentford take on Arsenal.  The west London side are entering into their first-ever Premier League campaign but potentially could pull-off an opening day masterstroke against the beleaguered Gunners.

Saturday's early kick-off sees Man United take on Leeds United. United’s new project begins against their old rivals; they’ve now got Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho to enable them to fight for the title. Last year, United won 6-2 at Old Trafford.

Our third game is a match that no-one wants to look at, wants to show you or even think about, but we have to, and it's Burnley vs Brighton. Up next, it's Chelsea’s clash with south London outfit Crystal Palace. The Champions League holders ended last season in a terrific vein of form lifting the European Cup and also closing in on the top spots in the Premier League. This season, Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to challenge Man City for the title.

Everton fans are pretty unhappy with their pre-season, with Rafa Benitez in charge and James Rodriguez looking like he's being kicked out the back door, they take on Southampton on the opening day. Champions League qualification should be the aim for Leicester City this season, the Foxes begin their campaign against Wolves.

The Hornets, Watford, are buzzing to be back in the big time and they begin their 2021/22 campaign at home to Aston Villa who, of course, will be without Jack Grealish after he joined champions Man City. It's very well-known that Liverpool batter Norwich every single time they play them, so expect an absolute whipping this time around when the Reds go to Carrow Road on Saturday evening.

The penultimate game of our Premier League preview this week is Newcastle at home to West Ham. The Hammers are going to have to straddle both domestic football and their European matches this term, so it could be a tricky and tiring campaign for the players.  Finally, we wrap up our betting preview with one of the best games of the weekend and that's Tottenham vs Man City. This fixture revolves around one man who may not even be on the pitch -  Harry Kane - who is expected to make a £127million move to the Etihad before the transfer window closes in September.

Our resident host Eduardo Siles is very well supported by Tom Rennie, our Premier League football expert. He’s proper class, isn’t he? They’re here to discuss all things top-flight football in this week’s Odds On episode.
