We start on Friday night in the Black Country, as Wolves take on Leeds United, with neither side worrying Europe nor relegation. Nuno’s Portuguese side are 12th, with Bielsa’s boys one place further up the table in 11th. Wolves have found some okay form recently with just one defeat in their last five, Leeds meanwhile have three wins in five. Even one, this.

Saturday starts with the early kick-off at St. Mary’s as Southampton take on Chelsea. The Saints are in awful form – one win, four defeats from their previous five – whilst the Blues have been relentlessly picking up wins since Thomas Tuchel turned up at the Bridge.

Burnley are expected to breeze past West Brom when these two sides meet at Turf Moor. The Clarets were on a run three winless league games but turned that around by battering Palace. Big Sam’s Baggies are 19th but earned a point against Man Utd last week.

The big game of the weekend is the Merseyside Derby. Easily. There’s a Champions League spot on the line here, with Liverpool’s league form taking a serious nose-dive. They won comfortably in Europe in mid-week but Everton could pour further misery on their disappointing league campaign.

Fulham’s miracle survival bid has to start somewhere, so where better than at home to the bottom side? The Cottagers have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 1 of their last 5. Picking up points is the name of the game when you’re battling for your life at the foot of the standings.

We’ve also got a London derby to look forward to, this time between West Ham and Spurs. The Hammers are favourites for this one! David Moyes’ Irons are up in 6th, winning 5 of their last 7 league game. Jose’s Spurs are NINTH, having lost 5 of their last 6 PL matches.

There’s great odds for Leicester against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon. The Foxes are 2.46 to win at Villa Park, despite them being 3rd in the table and arriving on the back of beating defending champions Liverpool 3-1. Villa, meanwhile, have 3 clean sheets in their last 4.

No-one seems capable of stopping Man City when they’re in this form, but this weekend’s it’s the turn of Arsenal to try and stop them at the Emirates. Pep’s side have recorded an astonishing 16 wins in a row in all competitions. It could be 17 by the end of this one.

The penultimate game of the weekend sees Man Utd host Steve Bruce’s Newcastle at Old Trafford. The title dream is almost over now for the Red Devils, with too many draws (3) from their recent five games. The Magpies are one place above the dropzone.

We round off proceedings with the A23 derby. The worst derby in English football? It’s Brighton against Crystal Palace. Both sides need wins to firmly keep them away from trouble. They’ve got one on Fulham mounting a charge but they need to focus on this game!
