Why: this is important now because being that most of us have time to face our own worst fears in regard to dealing with ourselves we can invest in understanding where the deepest hurt areas are in our lives and how to address them.

if the EGO is the in between and the ID is the unconscious of things we desire that drive behavior and the superego is created of a world view then what information we retain from learned behaviors of dealing with trauma become layered almost immediately from the moment they initially happen.
So healing then is not always something that just occur on a surface level.
Facing and living with the reality of how we handled rejection in whatever stage becomes an intimate relationship with whatever stage of life we experienced that trauma.
Mentally we can get stuck at an age emotionally while aging naturally
