KemoyB joined by Priscilla from BBC TV show ‘The Voice’ to discuss her musical journey, influences, what happened on ‘The Voice’, future plans and more.

-- Priscilla’s Bio --

Honest and unveiled storytelling through music, is at singer/songwriter Priscilla’s core. Often sharing adaptations of personal experiences in an intimate fashion, Priscilla blurs the lines of R&B, creating a sound influenced by an intoxicating blend of soul, reggae, alternative rock and electronic pop. Inspired by legendary artists including Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Prince and Aretha Franklin, her eclecticism and unique sound draws from deep roots.

Born and raised in West Bromwich, England, Priscilla has never been a stranger to the world of music, singing background vocals in her parent’s reggae band, Unit 4, at the tender age of 10; before moving on to becoming the lead singer.

In 2011, Priscilla supported Grammy nominated Freddie McGregor on his UK Tour. Shortly after this, in 2012 she self-released her first solo project, ‘Breakaway’.

An aspiring film producer, in 2014, Priscilla produced a short film entitled ‘Trapped', with an aim to raise awareness of gun and knife crime. 2015 brought Priscilla's second self-released solo project, ‘On Fleek'. Later that year, she supported Queen Ifrica and Gyptian on the UK leg of their world tour. In 2016, Priscilla supported well-known duo, Shakka Demus and Pliers, alongside Ken Booth. A stunning performance of ‘Juice’ by Lizzo on The Voice UK 2020 marked Priscilla’s debut television appearance.
