My heart is broken and my soul aches. Neil Peart was so much more than just masterful drummer and exceptional lyricist for Rush.  As someone  who was relentlessly mocked for reading as a child, Neil Peart demonstrated to me in no uncertain terms that it was a worthy endeavor to get lost in a book, even if just alleviate boredom. For me, he was a gateway drug. He was my gateway to Ayn Rand and from there into philosophy. The impact he made on my life, and certainly many others, is immeasurable.  Afterimage: in Memory of Neil Peart.
