:: ::

In this episode, Jack chats with David Walliker, Chief Digital and Partnerships Officer at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

David discusses being "Wenglish", and his "uneventful" upbringing in rural North Wales - where he found academia didn't really stimulate him, and he took GCSE German to impress a girl. After clearing up David's football allegiances, they get into how he went from desperately wanting to be sports journalist, to an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (he took a trophy cabinet to the interview), and how a rugby-induced back injury forced him to go and work in IT, setting him on the path for the rest of his career.

From there they talk about his journey to becoming a Chief Digital and Partnerships Officer in the NHS, what his role involves, what motivates him and what REALLY bothers him.
