Today on the show we sit down with Dean Rosen. A partner at Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas, Dean is one of Washington’s foremost experts on America’s complex health care system—and a master of both the politics and policies that shape it. He has more than two decades of experience developing and advancing health policy initiatives on Capitol Hill and in the private sector.
- Dean was raised in Minnesota;
- He earned his bachelor's degree at Boston University, and then a J.D. and master's degree at Syracuse University;
- After earning his postgraduate degrees, he practiced law at Dow, Lohnes and Albertson in Washington, D.C.;
- His first political position was on the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee;
- He then served as VP of Policy and General Counsel at the Health Insurance Association of America;
- Afterwards, he served as the Health Care Advisor for U.S. Senate Majority Leader William Frist.
- In 2005, he joined Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas as a named partner.
