He completed his B.A. in classics and mathematics from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in ancient philosophy from Princeton. His latest publication, "The Invention of Duty," delves into the origins of the concept of "moral duty" in ancient Greco-Roman times. In addition to his research work, Jack hosts a popular podcast called "Ancient Greece Declassified," which features the latest scholarly insights into the ancient Mediterranean world. Jack joined the Institute in February 2019 and continues to contribute to the field with his innovative research and accessible public outreach.
