Derek Holland, MPH, MFAc is a public health practitioner of art and public health. He is currently a Master of Fine Arts student at University of Illinois Chicago where he is merging public health with his art work through multimodal approaches. He started his Bachelors at Temple University in Environmental Studies before switching to Public Health – he transferred to University of Maryland College Park in his junior year where he completed his Bachelors of Science in Family Science. He then went on to work in several positions before getting his Master of Public Health at Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. He is now studying his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Illinois Chicago.
