Yesterday, I spoke with Carol Vorderman ahead of her appearance on The Great British Bake Off.

We discussed her life long passion for education, her early years and the path that led her to create Mathsfactor, an online platform that inspires children to fall in love with numbers.

As the long time co-host of Countdown, we talk about how she saw learning as a way to a new life and how being a role model to young people and girls, in particular, has always been a guiding motivation in any endeavour she has found herself a part of.

It was a pleasure to sit down with a National Treasure, we had a lovely conversation and play a little Q&A game at the end.
