KC Stories: William Volker, Anonymous Philanthropist - a podcast by Andy Flattery, CFP®
from 2020-07-22T04:00
Podcast episode on William Volker, “The First Citizen of Kansas City.” Volker was a German immigrant who became an innovator in business and as a result a wealthy man. Throughout his life, he consistently gave away about a third of his wealth. Much of his wealth he gave away completely anonymously, which earned him the nickname, “Mr. Anonymous.”
Special thanks to Mary Cranston, great-niece of William Volker, who was interviewed in this episode.
