About Van Sturgeon

Van Sturgeon is an experienced entrepreneur who has successfully created several businesses in the real estate industry, covering areas of land acquisition, development, construction, and renovation. He owns over 1,000 properties across North America and is semi-retired from the day-to-day operations of his businesses.

Van’s father immigrated to the United States in 1959 and served our country proudly during the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, his mother had immigrated to Canada first and moved with him to Chicago to start a new family. Through a lot of hard work and savings, his parents reached their dream, and they bought an apartment building in Chicago in 1976.

However, the late ‘70s and ‘80s devastated their community with drugs and crime. Van’s parents barely held on, as their building was 60% vacant, and it kept getting worse. But amid the hardship, his family was able to get through. They did everything in their building and never hired any contractors. They even went out and installed a new roof, new windows, tiled, carpeted, and painted every single apartment. In turn, Van learned so much from these experiences that he chose to pursue a career in home renovation.
