The Murder of Meredith Kercher - a podcast by BBC Radio 4

Amanda Knox has been cleared for a second time of murdering British student Meredith Kercher at the cottage they shared in Italy in November 2007. The decision handed down by Italy's highest court puts an end to seven years of legal wrangling.

Knox, together with her former Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, were originally convicted of the murder in 2009. They were acquitted on appeal two years later because of doubts over the forensic evidence, but their convictions were reinstated in January 2014.Ruth Alexander asks what might have influenced the Italian Supreme Court's decision as she returns to interviews gathered last year with some of the key players in the case.
