Full Show: Derek Schultz in for JMV, Indianapolis Colts on a bye week, Don Fischer on IU basketball - a podcast by The Ride with JMV

(0:00-26:15) Derek Schultz is back on the airwaves in Indianapolis for JMV on a Friday to talk all things Colts, Pacers and more! He lays out the agenda for today’s show before touching on the passing of Al Unser this morning and touching on the headlines highlighted by Purdue’s loss to Rutgers. Then, Mike Wells from ESPN joins the program to talk Indianapolis Colts, Frank Reich’s head coaching performance and the Colts’ chances in the AFC before hitting the Pacers at the end of the conversation.

(26:16-38:14) Indiana Sports Talk’s Coach Bob Lovell joins the show to talk about a busy week in high school basketball. First, he touches on a loss that might be like the one Purdue suffered last night before diving into an interesting weekend of high school matchups that you won’t see many times throughout the regular season and breaking down each class this season.

(38:15-44:22) To finish out the first hour, Derek goes to the phone lines to talk about the Indianapolis Colts on a bye week.

(44:23-1:08:47) Derek goes back to a busy set of phone lines to talk to callers about all things surrounding the Colts. He touches on Frank Reich criticism and whether or not it is completely fair. Then, Derek touches on whether or not the Colts control their own destiny at this point and whether or not Carson Wentz would take a step back if Reich was no longer the head coach before touching on what happened to Purdue last night against Rutgers.

(1:08:48-1:17:38) Even more phone calls to drive the discussion in the middle of the second hour. Derek Schultz, in for JMV, chats about the fake slide maneuver from the Pitt QB before trying to answer the million dollar question: do you trade Sabonis or Turner?

(1:17:39-1:23:11) To round out the second hour, Derek reminisces about his earlier radio days before heading back to the phone to talk about the idea of James Wiseman coming to Indiana in some sort of Sabonis or Turner trade.

(1:23:12-1:50:13) To round out a busy day with Derek on the Ride with JMV, he is joined by the voice of the Hoosiers, Don Fischer, to talk all things Indiana basketball starting with a tough loss to Wisconsin in Madison, point guard play and IU’s struggles finishing out games. Derek and Fish touch on the future of IU football to finish the conversation. Then, Jon Price, CEO of Sports Information Trader.com, joins the show to talk betting this weekend before Derek closes the show with his final thoughts on the Indianapolis Colts.
