However is legacy and impact on the culture today continues to shine a light on the urgency to invoke positive change  by any means necessary. His powerful words remain relevant today. Black people in America have come a long way but our work is not done. The poisonous venom of hate is still alive in our society and only unconditional love can offer the cure. He may never get a holiday to honor his name but his efforts and commitment to the cause will never be forgotten.
