Join Craig Hutchinson and Damian Barrett for S4 Ep 26 - Disguised Opinion.

1.00 - After Hutchy's recommendation last week Damo now hooked on The Loudest Voice (story of Fox News) starring Russell Crowe. So many of the issues ring true in today's journalistic climate.

Roger Ailes was quoted as saying "we don’t follow the news, we make the news”. Lots of disguised opinions in newspapers and journalism these days.

6.15 – Masterchef - a debacle on so many levels. The collective negotiation between hosts is risky and requires lots of trust. What's it worth to a network to try and keep iconic cast members?

13.30 – Spin City. Hutchy is George Calombaris defending underpayment of wages.

15.30 – Mack Horton – what do we make of the protest by Mack Horton against Sun Yan?    As a nation we are so hypocritical on issues like drug cheats. We don’t and can’t turn a torch on ourselves says Damo.

19.00 – Broadcast Rights.  The swimming, the cricket and the upcoming AFL rights negotiations. We need to get used to paying for things says Hutchy - people are being conditioned to do that gradually.

27.00 - Game Day v Sunday Morning Footy Show – ratings have been interesting since the time slot change.  Sunday Footy Show doesn’t have primary rights, but still has a well rating show without the rights.

29.30 – AFL Radio Rights.

32.00 – Can Jaiyden Stephenson go on holidays or not?  That wasn’t the point. All media needed was someone (like Wayne Carey) to have an opinion about it. Boom – big story.

36.15 - most media spend their time hunting down people who are disgruntled (easier now with social media)  to give them fuel for stories.

38 – Xavier Duursma and the bow and arrow symbolism. Few people tried to move to the progressive opinion this time – interesting to see the shift.

39 – Update on Sam Murray’s B Sample as the one year anniversary looms. How are things at ASADA?

42 – Andrew Bogut has had a crack at the Melbourne United team, regarding the amount it’s spent on its roster.  Was it a shot at Hutchy? He responds.
