It's a pandemic project that connected Indigenous people across the continent to create a stunning work of art.
Back in the spring, a traditional bead-work artist from the United States put out a call on her Facebook page, Kooteen (COO-teen) Creations.
She asked people from that country and Canada to bead maps of their provinces and states.
Jenelle Doyle is from Labrador, she created a map of the Big Land.
Mel Compton beaded the island portion of the province.
She’s from Toronto, but her family has roots in the Mi’kmaq community in this province.
