967: Fulphil - Tech to Empower Philly and Youth to Make An Impact - a podcast by Neil C. Hughes

Fulphil inspires and enables university students to get involved in targeting their city's toughest social issues. Students form teams and compete in Fulphil's annual, themed, case competition designed to create and launch for-profit social enterprises which target specific problem areas.

Fulphil selects each annual theme in consultation with their partners, including local social enterprises and city administrators while connecting students to the proper resources from the ideation to scaling process. And every year, they award seed capital to the winning team to help them meet their company's needs to fulfill their city's needs.

Tiffany Yau, the founder of Fulphil joins me on my daily tech podcast to share her inspirational tech story. Tiffany is passionate about creating sustainable social impact through social entrepreneurship and more importantly, community empowerment.

Tiffany is also the recipient of the 2019 Greater Philadelphia Social Innovation Award, and been recognized by Generocity, Social Innovation Journal, Philadelphia Citizen, Wharton Business Radio, and Penn News as a social entrepreneurship thought leader.

I learn how she launched Fulphil and also Hult Prize Ivy in 2017 with the goal of empowering ambitious youth to pursue their passions through entrepreneurship.
