Traditional/conventional ways of testing focuses more on the functionality and an overall quality of the Application/Service to be delivered with in a given timeline, which means, we are bound by time, which insists on automating as many phases in the SDLC as possible. DevOps as a culture has been very much accepted by a wider range of companies to succeed with the agile methodology. DevOps advocates for process automation involving Development, Test and Operations teams. Testing is one of the critical components for the DevOps to succeed and expedite product/service delivery. Knowledge and hands on skills with the Test automation with an intersection of DevOps tools and practicing the CICD is becoming a preferred way by many. Lets explore a bit about the Quick Wins approach, Tooling and value add by the QA people with the DevOps mindset to speed up quality deliveries to Production.

Ravi Kiran M. started his career as a Testing Engineer at Zycus and also contributed to Web Application Security and performance testing. He found his passion for DevOps and systems architecture. He is currently working at EBI, UK as a Senior DevOps and managing their hybrid cloud infrastructure and the CICD systems with an eye for Quality and security.
