We've come a long way since 1968. But we’re celebrating 50 years of Time Out around the world, and in this special edition of the Straight From The Camel’s Mouth podcast we're discussing what's hot across the city right here, right now.

Half a century ago, the brand’s founder Tony Elliott created the first issue of Time Out on his kitchen table.

Sold on the streets of London for a shilling (that's about Dhs5), it was a fold-up sheet packed with the city's countercultural happenings: gigs, festivals, late-night films, fringe theatre and more.

Fast-forward 50 years, and on the latest Time Out Dubai podcast Head of Video Tim Skinner is joined by News & Features Editor Emma Pearson and Branded Content Editor Darragh Murphy to discuss the best of Dubai.
