In my early twenties (1997-2000) I thought about and tried to write about my life on three fronts: as a human being, as a man and as a black man in America. The three realities were distinct but inextricably linked. So much has happened the last 15 years. Recently, I sat down with a young man in his early twenties who's about to gradaute from my alma mater. I wanted to see what life looks like now for him on all three fronts.
