You may know her from her Facebook page, The Cattle Vet Tech, and we wanted to talk to her about all things large animal medicine as she is the first applicant for the VTS in production animal medicine through AIMVT. Through that conversation, she discussed her level of utilization and how her state practice act in Arkansas was recently updated help address the veterinarian shortage in her state through CVT utilization. Arkansas is one of the very few states that actually recognizes VTS's in its practice act, and she talked about an initiative that is aiming toward elevating the VTS position to the mid-level practitioner that is so en vogue right now. How did they do it? You'll have to tune in to find out, but we promise you'll be glad you did. And guess what? Through their research, DVM's in her state support it.
