In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus addresses worry asking if it actually helps us in any way. He then invites us to look at the living things around us in nature, like birds & wildflowers, reminding us that God knows our needs and will certainly care for us as he does them.

At the end of this teaching, George guided us in a short meditation & reflection to practice what Jesus invited us to do in this passage.

We'd love for you to join us in person at one of our Sunday gatherings--10a at Gower Elementary. You can visit us online at vuechurch.org

SLIDES/QUOTES George read in our gathering:

Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength-carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.

-Corrie Ten Boom, Dutch writer

...all the beauty of the world, the beauty that calls our admiration, our gratitude is meant as a set of hints, of conspiratorial whispers, of clues and suggestions and flickers of light, all nudging us into believing that behind the beautiful world is not random chance but the loving God.

-N.T. Wright, For All God’s Worth
